Warner L. Bentley, 90 of Temperance, MI, died Monday, November 3, 2014, in his home.  Born June 6, 1924 in Monroe, MI, he was the son of Oren M. and Hazel P. (Younglove) Bentley.  He was a 1942 graduate of Ida High School on Ida, MI and then served in the US Navy during WWII.  He married Rosemary Welti on April 28, 1950 in the former First Baptist Church of Temperance (Bridgepoint Church) where he had has been a member for the past 64 years. Warner was employed as a foreman for Michigan Tube Swagers in Temperance for 22 years, retiring in 1989. Before he joined the Navy, he was employed by Henry Ford building airplanes. He participated in the honor flight from Toledo, OH to Washington, D.C., where he visited the WWII Memorial. Warner enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling and cruises. He was also a member of the North American Fishing Club

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Rosemary.  Children, Donna Bentley of Lambertville, MI and Kevin (Maureen Skye) Bentley of Arlington, Washington. Brother, Vernon (June) Bentley of Phoenix, Arizona and granddaughter, Katie Rose Bentley of Arlington, Washington.

Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Friday, November 7, 2014,  at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Saturday, November 8, 2014, at 10:30 am. William Johnson, Associate pastor of Brigdepoint Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.  Memorials may be made to the church.  www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
